The Beauty of Calorie Counting

Today was probably not my best day so far in this journey. Ok, it was probably my worst. I had a crappy morning. We went out for lunch at our favorite mexican restaurant. I haven't been there since I started this new way of life. This is a place that we used to eat at once a week probably. I tried to go with something that seemed a little better than other things. I ended up eating a Carne Asada Burrito with guacamole and rice. It was phenomenal and, while I only planned to eat half and take the other half home, it was so good I ate the whole damn thing. But, the beauty of calorie counting is that I was able to fit it into my daily plan with some Slim Fast and this delicious little rice cake concoction with banana and whipped topping and fat free caramel sauce that only had 130 calories in it. So, to make a long, boring, story short -- I was able to have a really good lunch, and not stray at all from my 1200-1400 calories a day.
